How to make Garlic Butter Juicy Pork Chops Recipe

In my variant, the best way to make a delicious and gentle pork chop is to cook them on the stove using a cast iron skillet and bake them in the oven. This way, pork chops will get a golden brown and beautiful bark from the outside, but from the inside, they will stay juicy and delicate.

Baking Pork Chops in the Oven:

  • Heat the oven to 380 ° Fahrenheit. Then use salt and pepper to season them well. You decide the amount of salt and pepper according to your taste.
  • Place five small spoonfuls of butter in a bowl and place in a microwave or regular oven. Add garlic and thyme (mother’s whey) once it melts. Stir well and leave it to rest. Warm the olive oil in the pan on medium heat, and when the frying pan is really hot, add pork chops and cook them until they get brown.

    • Oh hi, sorry about that. It’s just an iron pan, my grandma used to call it “iron mold” and it just stuck with me.

    • Thanks Linda, yes i’ve had a few questions about that and as i’ve said my grandma called it an “iron mold” when in fact it’s just an iron pan. 🙂

    • Hi there, best way to know is to use meat thermometer, the pork chops are ready when they reach about 150F temperature. For me it takes about 15 minutes, after frying them in the pan, just enough for them to get a nice brown color.

  • I have 2 questions, exactly how much butter? 5 spoons, is that tablespoons, teaspoons? Also the garlic, use one clove or more? Should you mince the garlic?

    • Hello Betty, yes the garlic should be minced, however i trow a few whole chunks while cooking, and i use 5 tablespoons of butter in total.

  • I tried this recipe last week for my husband and he said that was the best pork chop he’d ever had. I’m a true skinny cook that loves cooking with love and strive to get the raves from everyone that eats my food. So with all that said guess what he’s having for supper tonight. Thank you for your recipes and I look forward to trying many more. God bless you all.

  • It sounds really good and I’m going to try and make it but I feel that you need to add a little more detail on how much of the ingredients. Like how much thyme ( not cooking time herb thyme), how many garlic cloves, and is it 5tsp or 5 TBS, how many pork chops does it make?

  • Do you cover the pork chops while cooking in the oven? Most iron skillets don’t have a top but wasn’t sure if you needed it to cook them evenly.

  • This recipes was amazing. I can’t wait to make it again. So I thank you for that. However, just my opinion, It was hard to follow. I had to keep going back and forth trying to figure it all out. I like when it says “jump straight to recipe” It’s so much easier to follow.

  • This was the best recipe for pork chops, that I’ve ever tried. I’ve been married 42 years, so that is saying a lot! Delicious, moist and full of flavor. I added fresh rosemary, along with the sage. Outstanding!!

  • This recipe is fantastic and so easy! I made them last night and received so many compliments. I did not have fresh thyme so I used dried but even that didn’t detract from the deliciousness of the recipe!

  • This recipe is amazing! Made it for dinner last night, huge hit with hubby! He even commented that it’s been a long while since he had pork chops. Usually comes out dry but not this one! Definitely a keeper!!! Thanks so much for sharing this
