Brown Sugar Pork Chops with Garlic and Herbs are as delicious as they sound. The sweet sugar sauce is absolutely balanced by garlic and dried herbs, like thyme and oregano.

Ingredients For the Brine Water Salt Balsamic vinegar For Pork Chops Pork chops Cooking oil Brown sugar Garlic Dried oregano Dried thyme Butter Salt and pepper

Dissolve salt in warm water. Cool to room temperature. Submerge pork chops in the brine using a bowl or zip-lock bag. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 400°F. In a skillet, heat oil or ghee. Pat the pork chops dry and season both sides with salt and pepper.

Sear the pork chops in the skillet for about 3 minutes on each side, then remove them. Add butter, brown sugar, chopped garlic, and herbs to the skillet and mix well.

Place the pork chops back in the skillet, coating them with the sauce. Transfer the skillet to the oven and roast until they reach  of 145°F, which will take about 6-8 minutes,

Once done, remove the pork chops from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes. Drizzle the sauce from the skillet over the pork chops
